Our Service Dog Initiative
The Full Story
While Goldendoodles are used all over the world to provide their support as service dogs, many members of our community and those who surround us struggle to find affordable service dogs. Service dogs help a wide range of people to live their lives as normally as possible. From diabetic alert dogs (DADs) to guide dogs for the blind and visually impaired, service dogs help many people gain the independence they deserve.
As a part of the community, we believe it is our duty to support local organizations that help provide these much-needed aids to our community. Because of this, we are dedicated to donating at least one puppy from every litter to Freedom Guide Dogs. Freedom Guide Dogs for the Blind is a non-profit organization located in Upstate, N.Y. which was founded in 1992 by husband and wife team, Eric and Sharon Loori. This program trains working guide dogs and places them in the homes of blind and visually impaired individuals at no cost.
